How Golden Circle prices gold

Pricing transparency is what buyers look for first. This page explains exactly how the price you see on every product is built, where the gram price comes from, when it refreshes, and how resale value is calculated — using the figures live on the site right now.

The final price formula

Final price = (karat gram price × weight) + craftsmanship & stamping

A worked example at current prices

For the BTC 5 Gram 24K Gold Bar: raw gold value is 37,618 EGP (24K gram price 7,523.6 EGP × 5g), plus 425 EGP craftsmanship and stamping, giving a final price of 38,043 EGP.

The figures above are live and move with the market; check the product page for the current price.

Craftsmanship per gram by weight

The heavier the piece, the lower the craftsmanship charged per gram, since minting and sealing costs are nearly fixed per piece. These are today's actual figures from the same source that prices the products.

Pricing FAQs

Where does the displayed gram price come from?

The per-karat gram price comes from Golden Circle's pricing source, tied to global market movement, the exchange rate, and the local Egyptian market. It is published on the gold prices page with both buy and sell prices.

How often is the price updated?

Displayed prices refresh automatically every 30 seconds, and the last update time is shown in Cairo time below the price table. Your order price is fixed on the invoice at the moment of confirmation.

What is the difference between the sell and buy price?

The sell price is what you pay to buy gold from Golden Circle; the buy price is what Golden Circle pays you when you sell back. The gap between them is the standard gold-market trading spread.

Does the product price include craftsmanship and stamping?

Yes. The displayed price for any bar or coin is final: raw gold value plus craftsmanship, stamping, and packaging. No hidden fees are added at checkout.

Why does craftsmanship differ between weights?

Minting and sealing costs are nearly fixed per piece regardless of weight, so heavier pieces spread that cost over more grams and lower the craftsmanship per gram. The table above shows this with today's actual figures.

How are resale value and cashback calculated?

On resale, the gold value is calculated at the published buy price at that moment, plus 50% cashback on the craftsmanship fee, provided the original seal is intact and the invoice is presented. If the seal is opened, the cashback no longer applies and only the gold value is paid.

What happens if the price feed is interrupted?

If prices cannot be refreshed temporarily, the last trusted price stays visible with its timestamp and a staleness indicator — never zeros or a blank page. Orders are always priced at the last approved rate at confirmation.
